know i've been away for pretty much ages, had a bit of an overhaul in the way i've been working. trying to spend more time on pieces, a little more care and precision and trying to work on my drawing too. it's been a little frustrating, i've been drawing nearly every day and because of the time it is starting to take to finish pieces it feels like my body of work becomes thinner. anyways, think i'm just gonna reel off a big ol' post here of some of the stuff i've been doing recently that i guess i'm happy with.
these were part of a series of wildlife that could be found out on the prairie, we've been asked to respond visually the the book 'Blood Meridian' by Cormac McCarthy and it has alot of very visual language in it about the surroundings in which the book takes place. These aren't linked to that directly but I started messing around with the vulture one first and thought that it would be nice to make them into some sort of series, originally i was going to go for around six but settled on three.
